Client: Aquarius / Banjalučka pivara, Bosnia and Herzegovina
Banjalucka pivara, founded in 1873, is one of the oldest breweries in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Established by the monks of the monastery Marija Zvijezda, the brewery produced local beer with the finest ingredients at the time, using a traditional brewing process and developing the authentic local product.
In 1960 Nektar was launched, a flagship brand of Banjalucka pivara. In 2 years, the Aquarius agency has developed a series of campaigns, key visuals, communication materials, and brand strategies for this premium lager beer, one of the country’s leading brands.
The campaign “It’s not just for the Gods” played with the name Nektar beer and the ancient mythology behind it. We created the characters of Zeus, Mars, and Oedipus, who were brought to life by a regional trio of actors, placing them in a nearby cafe with whom we go through our daily adventures. The campaign was awarded bronze in the categories “Video – TV ads” and “Integrated campaigns” at the No Limit 2019 festival, and the campaign for the prize game “10 cold Nektars” won silver in the category “Sound – radio ads.”
