Women, horses, birds and music form the four threads of a single story — a story about place, people and the cultural heritage of the region surrounding Monogram Hotel. Each theme was chosen as a symbol of a bygone way of life, its customs and the profound connection between people, nature and community.
Combining archival illustrations, botanical elements, fragments of handwriting and traditional Serbian embroidery motifs, the collages bring traces of the past together within a new, contemporary visual world. Their layered compositions create an encounter between the real and the imagined, the familiar and the unexpected, while embroidery motifs in shades of blue and earth tones unite the entire series into a coherent whole.
Created for Monogram Hotel, these works were conceived not merely as decoration, but as an authentic part of the space — a visual link between the hotel’s identity, the region’s cultural heritage and the stories that continue to live through contemporary expression.
